I passionately believe that the old saying – everyone has a book inside them – is true...

(The Sai) Spirit of Humanity is a journey about a South African woman, Eurupa, who grew up in Chatsworth, an Indian township, relaying her experiences from the early 1970s to 2020. She shares her experiences of touching the lives of those around her and experiences about those who touched and enriched her life.

Eurupa shares her journey of love, obstacles, challenges, discrimination, pain, growth, development and life lessons learned.

She humbly reminds us of the quote by Alexander Pope, 'I shall pass through this way but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it. For I shall not pass this way again.' Eurupa strongly believes in this and lives by the ethos of these words.

She has worked to better the community in and around Port Shepstone and Durban, contributing towards a better South Africa for all and serving her fellow human beings. These priorities have always been in her blood and have been deeply etched in her heart.

Small acts of kindness, care, concern and love can motivate a person and turn their life around. To someone it may even mean a matter of 'Life or Death'. Her story takes us through refugee camps and on to the horrific Christmas Day massacre at Shoba Shobane in 1995.

Eurupa endeavours to persevere with a positive humanistic approach. Gently reminding us that no man is an island, as we need each other to preserve mankind and humanity. Thus ensuring that "The Spirit of Humanity!", lives on...
