I passionately believe that the old saying – everyone has a book inside them – is true...

Peace Talks looks at life in the new South Africa through the eyes of Eluthu, a teenager from a multi-racial family. With a white mother and a black father, Eluthu is caught between cultures and finds herself in a tug of war between her two half-sisters: Elora (completely European) and Amyoli (completely African).

Through the eyes of family and friends, Eluthu learns about historical events in the Eastern Cape that influence race relations and fuels the current land debate in post-apartheid South Africa. She has to make the decision whether she will be a woman who brings peace and reconciliation in her family and community or perpetuate the cycle of distrust and violence. It begs us to ask ourselves: where do we stand? Will we choose peace?
