April 1917, deep into the first world war, as the world finds itself on the brink of the Spanish Flu, four boys find themselves in possession of a manuscript. Little do they know that the manuscript holds with it a secret that could save mankind.

In the present day, South African Professor Brian Reed is in Slovenia to attend a conference. With time on his hands and the help of the beautiful tour guide, Alena, Brian starts to discover the historic delights of Slovenia.

A chance discovery on a beer coaster links patterns to a historic work of art. The trail that Brian follows leads to a printer with links to manuscript and places him and Alena in danger.

Some people will stop at nothing to acquire the manuscript and exploit its secrets.
